Does Webdev provide backups for VPS's?
Both our managed and unmanaged services come with backups as an additional service and in most instances this refers to 4 weekly full server snapshots. These are considered proprietary backups, that are for Webdev’s internal use and are not exportable and cannot be made available to the client. The backups can only be restored to the current running VPS service only.
For clients who choose not to pay for backups - they are ultimately responsible for getting their server back in working condition should anything happen to their VPS i.e data breach, server hacked, failed upgrade etc. However, where backups are available and Webdev can assist,we may (on a case by case basis) offer assistance at a fee to the client - usually charged in SysAdmin hours at the prevailing rates.
